Vodacom Tanzania through M-Pawa, a mobile wallet that allows Vodacom users to save money from their mobile phone partnered with Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) to run a campaign dubbed “JIONGEZE NA M-Pawa” to grow the average deposit balance per user.
The campaign rewarded 200 winners daily winning double their closing balance on M-Pawa, one daily winner for 1 million, one weekly winner to win 20 million and Grand prize of 100 million for a period of 45 days.
We developed a promo tool to select draw winners. Functionality included integration with the CBA core banking system, selecting daily transaction logs for M-Pawa, filtering withdrawals, creating a database within the tool and profile, awarding customers points based on M-Pawa activity and blacklisting ineligible customers.
We ran draws in the presence of gaming board officials and automatically generating reports and crediting customers’ accounts.
