RE: COVID-19/CORONA VIRUS RESPONSE & BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN

Mar 19, 20. news

Dear Client and Partners,

The Smart Codes Management notes with concern the evolving Covid-19 / Coronavirus spread globally and of the reported cases in Tanzania.

The health and safety of your and our teams is of utmost priority to us. At the same time, we are also relying on each other for certain critical services in our businesses.

As we join the government and health authorities in trying to curb the spread of Covid-19/Corona virus we are taking the following measures until when the situation comes under control:

  1. Our staff have been educated and exposed on what Corona virus is, how to prevent spread, and what measures to take in the event they see symptoms.
  2. We are encouraging both internally and externally no face-to-face meetings unless absolutely necessary; this is in line with World Health Directive to practice social distancing and where possible avoid or minimize physical contact.
  3. We are also encouraging minimizing movement to different places including client’s visits or vice-versa.
  4. We are encouraging use of technology to continue with our day-to-day these include: ZOOM or Google conferencing platforms, telephone calls, etc.

Please find attached our detailed Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for more information.

Should there be a government directive for 100% lock-down which will consequently disrupt ways of working; we shall communicate on how we shall transition our services, the key contact persons, working hours, etc.

On your part, it would be nice to also understand your response plan for us to appreciate whatever adjustments will need to be made in light of the pandemic.

Thank you for your continued support.
